Reserving a Guaranteed Tee-Time
Our agency is one of the few to be an official partner of the St Andrews Links Trust. The St Andrews Links manage all 7 public golf courses in St Andrews on behalf of the towns people, this includes the Old Course. Here at Golf Travellers we have privileged access to the booking of all courses in the city and through this collaboration we receive a large number of Guaranteed Tee-times each year on the famous Old Course.
The conditions with the guaranteed tee-time on the Old Course are: 5 night stay and 4 rounds of golf (in addition of the Old Course you must play another public links course – Castle course, Jubilee course, New course and two other courses of your choice). All transfers to and from the airport in our own minibus with one of our drivers for your comfort and flights included. This Package is around £2000 per person.
If budget does not allow or dates are not suitable we can tailor make any golfing/activity package that would suit you and enter you in the Ballot (lottery) for the Old Course.
Please note during the winter season, from the 1st of November to the 31st of March availability is much better, however, winter rules apply: every time the ball lies on the fairway, the ball has to be played on a small mat provided by the club. Furthermore, we advise you to come in November or March, as temperatures are milder than between December to February.
Rules only for the Old Course:
- Handicap of 24 for men and 36 for women minimum is required. Handicap certificate will be automatically asked by the starter as a proof.
- Golf buggies are not allowed and trolleys are forbidden in the morning before 12pm. Caddies are available and we suggest you use the services of a caddie to allow you to really appreciate this unforgettable experience.
