This 9-hole course (2,022 yards or 1849 metres) built at the beginning of the 20th century and only 10 miles from St Andrews, is mentioned in our website because it is the only golf course in Scotland and in Europe where you can play “hickory” Golf. Modern clubs are banned and the only way to play golf is to use hickory clubs (old wooden shaft golf clubs). You have a wonderful opportunity to add this experience to your tour and to be associated with history that stretches back to the beginning of golf, whilst playing with guaranteed “authentic golf clubs” and the softer golf balls they used. Unique in Europe!
