This region became very popular for the last few years amongst golfers mainly because of two of the best golf courses, both ranked in the Top 20 in the world, the Championship course at Royal County Down and the Dunluce course at Royal Portrush. Many other great links courses are found near Portrush, such as Portstewart and Castlerock. Not surprising to see great champions from the country such as Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke.
